This restaurant is beautiful. I love the French style deco and ambiance and the service is excellent. Their cocktails are also very good. Unfortunately, the food is very average and definitely not worth the price tag.

Great service and atmosphere. The food….completely lacking and a disappointment. We ate on Xmas eve where they had a zero choice prefix. The bread was cold and stale (cut your gums stale). Soup was average. Crab salad was uninteresting. The lamb chop was meh. Not worth the prefixe price tab of 125.

Experienced very slow service, missing utensils (ate steak with only knife), and members of my party didn’t receive their final course of desert. All while spending >$3k. Food was excellent though and I assume they were short staffed.

Avoid this establishment if you value punctuality, good service, and not being scammed at your birthday dinner -- I recently ate here with a large group. Although arriving on time for a premade reservation, my entire group waited an extra 20 minutes without explanation and communication from any restaurant staff while they apparently searched for a table. Upon seating, service was extremely slow, granted it was busy. However, our waitress brought us a wine bottle different to the one we ordered, opened it, then revealed it to us, and consequently charged us more for this bottle we did not order. Then, of course, our check arrived with an outrageously steep mandatory service charge for our group after horrible service from start to finish, with organizational errors regarding our reservation to expensive mistakes with wrong orders. Never again. Food is fine, very salty, but edible, obviously sub-par to any Parisian bistro. Many other French restaurants in town.

1417 French bistro fell short on the food. The atmosphere and service was good nothing wrong there. My fillet was cut so the juices were on the plate, the sear was almost non existent and the flavor was only of butter. Finally my fries were overcooked. I was disappointed, there's a lot of room for improvement unfortunately I won't be returning.

A nice atmosphere, sadly the food and service were disappointing. Small portions of fairly bland food, served by…whoever felt like it? Staff takes the casual “vibe” (and dress code) a little too far - servers seemed annoyed and disinterested from the moment we were sat. High end prices without the high end experience.

Perfect date night spot with a dark and romantic interior and beautiful patio. Found plenty of veg options, specially liked the gnocchi.

Steve was THE MAN!!! He was one of the best servers we’ve had in a long time. The food was amazing and the atmosphere really nice for a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Our puppy was so happy when Steve hooked her up with a piece of bacon that she devoured. We’ll definitely be back! Thanks Steve!
